What Is a Maintenance Schedule?

Hyundai Tucson Maintenance Schedule

Your Hyundai Tucson maintenance schedule is a list, or breakdown, of the various services that your vehicle will need throughout its lifespan. The schedule is broken down into mileage intervals because it’s easier to measure than time—not every driver has the same commute, or drives the same distances each day. The services listed will need to be repeated each time that mileage interval is added to the odometer.

Your Tucson Maintenance Schedule

  • 7,500 Miles—At your first maintenance visit, you’ll need to have a variety of services performed. You’ll need to have your oil changed, your filter replaced, your tires rotated, and your Climate Control Air Filter replaced. During this visit, you’ll also need an inspection of your air cleaner filter, braking system, exhaust, steering gear box, suspension mounts, vacuum hose, and more!
  • 15,000 Miles—When you reach this mileage, you’ll need all of the services listed above performed again. However, at this mileage, you’ll add an inspection of your driveshaft boots, fuel filter, parking brake, vapor hose, and your fuel filler cap.
  • 22,500 Miles—On top of the repeated services that you’ll have performed during this appointment, you’ll also need to have your air cleaner filter replaced.
  • 30,000 Miles—While most of the services that you’ll have performed during this visit are repeated, at this particular mileage you’ll add a replacement of your brake fluid to the growing list.
  • 60,000 Miles—This may seem like a steep jump in mileage, but everything before this is just repeated services. In fact, at this mileage you’ll need everything on the list performed. You’ll even add an inspection of your valve clearance to the list.
  • 97,500 Miles—During this visit, among the various services and inspections you’ll need to have performed, you’ll want to add a spark plug replacement to the list.
